Jenn-Air Oven Control Board Not Working — How To Fix

If your Jenn-Air oven control board is not working, it will need to be replaced. Below, we have listed the steps you need to follow in order to replace your Jenn-Air oven control board…

Step 1: Locate the oven’s circuit breaker.

Step 2: To avoid the risk of electrocution, switch the circuit breaker off.

Step 3: Open the door of the oven.

Step 4: Get a Philips head screwdriver.

Step 5: Using the Philips head screwdriver, take out the screws on the sides of the oven which hold it to the cabinet.

Step 6: Lift the oven out of the cabinet.

Step 7: Depending on what oven model you have, the screws which hold the control panel will be on the sides or bottom corners. Look underneath the control panel. If you see two screws underneath the panel, take them out using the Philips head screwdriver. However, if you don’t see screws underneath it, take out the screws on the sides. There should be two screws on each side of the control panel.

Step 8: Lift the panel up and detach it from the oven.

Step 9: Disconnect the wire plugs from the control board.

Step 10: Using the Philips head screwdriver, take out the screws which hold the control board to the control panel. There should be four screws.

Step 11: Lift the board off the control panel assembly.

Step 12: Get a new board for your Jenn-Air oven.

Step 13: Position the control board on the control panel assembly.

Step 14: Hold the control board in place using the four Philips head screws.

Step 15: Connect the wire plugs to the new Jenn-Air oven control board.

Step 16: Reposition the control panel assembly on the oven.

Step 17: Return the Philips head screws on the sides or bottom of the control panel which secure it.

Step 18: Lift the oven up and push it back into the cabinet.

Step 19: Secure the sides of the oven to the cabinet using the Philips head screws.

Step 20: Shut the door of the oven.

Step 21: Switch the oven’s circuit breaker back on.

How To Reset Jenn-Air Oven Control Panel

Below, we have listed the steps you need to follow in order to reset your Jenn-Air oven control panel…

Step 1: Locate the circuit breaker of your Jenn-Air oven and switch it off.

Step 2: Leave the circuit breaker off for at least 5 minutes in order to reset the control panel.

Step 3: After 5 minutes, switch the circuit breaker back on.

Step 1: Locate the circuit breaker of your Jenn-Air oven.

Step 2: To avoid the risk of electrocution, switch off the circuit breaker.

Step 3: Go back to the oven and open the door.

Step 4: There are screws on the sides of the oven’s front frame which secure it to the cabinet. Take them out using a Philips head screwdriver. If your Jenn-Air oven is not installed to a cabinet, simply skip this step.

Step 5: Lift the oven out of the cabinet.

Step 6: Set the oven on a sturdy surface lined with a cloth.

Step 7: Using the Philips head screwdriver, take out the screws which hold the oven’s control panel assembly in place. Depending on your oven model, the screws will be underneath the control  panel or on the sides.

Step 8: Lift the control panel assembly off the oven and carefully lower it down.

Step 9: Disconnect the wires connected to the control board.

Step 10: Take out the four screws which hold the control board to the panel using the Philips head screwdriver.

Step 11: Set the control board aside.

Step 12: Get a new Jenn-Air oven control panel.

Step 13: Position the control board on the new panel.

Step 14: Secure the board to the panel using the four Philips head screws.

Step 15: Reconnect all the wire plugs to the control board.

Step 16: Lift the control panel assembly and position it on the oven.

Step 17: Hold the control panel assembly in place with the screws.

Step 18: Lift up the oven and push it back into the cabinet.

Step 19: Secure the sides of the oven to the cabinet using the Philips head screws.

Step 2: Locate the “Cook Time” and “Stop Time” buttons on the oven’s control panel.

Step 3: Hold down these two buttons for about four seconds. “OFF” will appear on the oven’s display to indicate that the lockout feature has been activated.

Step 1: Locate the “Control Lock” button on the stove top.
