LG Microwave Light Won’t Turn Off
If your LG microwave light won’t turn off, the most likely reason for this is a faulty door switch. To test and replace the door switch in an LG microwave, do the following…
Step 1: First, make sure that the microwave is turned off then unplug it from the outlet.
Step 2: Take out the screw on the left side of the microwave and the three screws on the right side.
Step 3: Also take out the six screws behind the microwave.
Step 4: Lift the microwave cover up then take it out.
Step 5: Behind the control panel there will be three door switches in the holder, take the first one out.
Step 6: To know whether the door switch is faulty or not, simply press the small button on it. If there is a strong click, the door switch still works perfectly well so place it back in the holder.
Step 7: Take out the other two door switches and do this same test, if the button feels loose when you press it, you will need to replace it.
Step 8: Disconnect the wires from the faulty switch and get a new one.
Step 9: Connect the wires to the right places on the new door switch.
Step 10: Place the new door switch in the holder.
Step 11: Return the microwave cover and hold it in place with the screw on the left and three screws on the right.
Step 12: Also return the 6 screws at the back of the microwave.
Step 13: Plug the microwave back in.
