Step 1: First, turn the multimeter dial to the ohms setting.
Step 2: Put the two multimeter prongs on the wire connector of the temperature sensor.
Step 3: Look at the reading. It should be around 1080 to 1090 ohms. If the reading is higher or lower than this, the temperature sensor is faulty.

How To Replace An Oven Temperature Sensor
To replace an oven temperature sensor, follow the steps listed below…
Step 1: Turn off the circuit breaker for your oven.
Step 2: Open the oven door and take out the racks.
Step 3: Flip the locks on the door hinges towards yourself.
Step 4: Push the door closed but not completely.
Step 5: Grip the sides of the door then lift it off the oven.
Step 6: On the upper left corner of the oven wall, you will see the temperature sensor held by two screws. Take out the two screws.
Step 7: Pull out the temperature sensor carefully.
Step 8: Disconnect the wire from the temperature sensor.
Step 9: Get a new temperature sensor and connect the wire to it.
Step 10: Push the temperature sensor back into the hole and secure it with the two screws.
Step 11: Slide the racks back into the oven.
Step 12: Return the door to the oven and position the hinges in the slots.
Step 13: Lower the oven door and flip the hinge locks backward.
Step 14: Close the oven door and turn on the circuit breaker.

Step 1: Turn off the oven.
Step 2: Pull out the oven control knob.
Step 3: Look inside the small hole in the knob. If you can’t see the metal insert or if the knob is broken in any way, get a new control knob.
