1. Jenn-Air Range Oven

Below, we have listed the steps you need to follow in order to replace your Jenn-Air oven door hinges…

Step 1: Pull the oven away from the wall to access the rear.

Step 2: To avoid the risk of electrocution, unplug the oven’s power cord from the outlet.

Step 3: Open the oven door slightly.

Step 4: Grip the sides of the oven door and lift it off the hinges.

Step 5: Set the door aside on a sturdy surface lined with a cloth.

Step 6: Using a 5/16th hex head screwdriver, take out the screws underneath the two door hinges. There is one screw underneath each door hinge.

Step 7: Take out the other screws above the hinges as well.

2. Jenn-Air Single Wall Oven

Below, we have listed the steps you need to follow in order to replace your Jenn-Air oven door hinges…

Step 1: Locate the oven’s circuit breaker.

Step 2: Switch the circuit breaker off for safety.

Step 3: Open the door of the oven.

Step 4: Get a small nail.

Step 5: Bend the nail into a u shape.

Step 6: Insert the nail into the small hole in the right door hinge. This will help keep the door in the broil position.

Step 7: Get a Philips head screwdriver.

Step 8: Take out the screws on the sides of the oven which hold the door hinges. There is one screw above each door hinge.

Step 9: Close the door till it is at the broil position.

Step 10: Grip the sides of the oven door and lift it off.

Step 11: Set the door on a sturdy surface lined with a cloth.

Step 12: Using the Philips head screwdriver, take out the three screws at the top of the oven door assembly.

Step 20: Hold the door hinges in place using the two screws.

Step 25: Insert the hinges into the slots in the sides of the oven.

Step 28: Return the small metal pieces and screws to the sides of the oven’s front frame.

Step 1: Pull the stove away from the wall in order to gain access to the rear.

Step 2: To avoid the risk of electrocution, unplug the oven’s power cord from the outlet.

Step 3: Open the oven door.

Step 4: Lift the stove top.

Step 5: There is a metal panel underneath the stove top. Take out the screws which hold the metal panel in place using a Philips head screwdriver.

Step 6: Lift the panel up.

Step 7: The actuator rod connected to the door light switch is on the right side of the oven’s front frame. Bend the rod and remove it from the front frame.

Step 8: Go to the rear of the oven.

Step 9: Using the Philips head screwdriver, take out the screws which hold the oven’s upper and lower rear access panels in place.

Step 10: Set the access panels aside.

Step 11: Disconnect the wire plug connected to the door light switch.

Step 12: Press the tabs on the light switch together and push it forward.
